Violin

Round 1

a) Piece of Bach for solo violin + virtuoso piece.

Overall performance is not more than 20 minutes*.

Competition could provide an accompanist for virtuoso piece.

One 20-minutes rehearsal with the pianist is possible.

ROUND 2 with orchestra

a) Compulsory composition
by A. Shor with the orchestra.

Scores are availabe to download here

It’s allowed to use the score for a compulsory piece. All other programme has to be performed by heart.

b) And any of the pieces listed below:

  • P. Tchaikovsky –
    Concert for violin and orchestra in 3 parts
  • J. Brahms –
    Concert for violin and orchestra in 3 parts
  • A. Khachaturian -
    Concert for violin and orchestra in 3 parts
  • J. Sibelius -
    Concert for violin and orchestra in 3 parts

(Maximum number of participants:
for 2nd round – 6 people).

* The jury has the right to stop the contestant if the specified time limit exceeded. The whole programme has to be performed by heart.

Cello

Round 1

a) Piece of Bach for solo cello + virtuoso piece.
